How To Memorize Or Cram Everything A Night Before Exam
1. EAT WELL BEFORE PICKING YOUR BOOKS
One thing you should know about doing crash reading is that it is not going to work well if you try doing it on an empty stomach. It is very important that one eats before even trying to pick one’s book and attempt to read. The whole idea of doing this is that it puts you into a happier mood for reading and to an extent tries to reduce the frustration of that individual as you know that you are already doing crash reading which can be quite frustrating on its own.
However, it should be noted that eating very heavy meals are not advisable because it can only make you very weak and sleep. The bottom line here is that under feeding and over feeding are not advisable when you want to crash read.
2. DO NOT GET TOO SERIOUS
Another thing that you should also note is that you should not get too serious with your crash reading as it might only lead to forgetting. If you try memorizing a particular part of a subject area and it didn’t go well, you shouldn’t force it. You can only help yourself by taking it very easy with yourself.
3. SET AN ALARM
You already know that you are doing a crash program so you do not expect yourself to be awake till the next morning. You need to rest for a while and which is why you need to set an alarm so that you would not end up over sleeping. You should not also try to go to the exam hall without even having some time to sleep. This can only help you forget what you have spent your night reading on.
4. GIVE YOURSELF BREAKS AT INTERVALS
Another thing that is important to note is that you should give yourself breaks at intervals as i have already mentioned that you should not get too serious. Giving yourself breaks at intervals help you to reduce stress to a large extent.
It is also important to note that giving yourself breaks does not mean that the breaks should be too long as you already have limited time to study. A 5 minutes or 10 minutes break would go a long way in relieving stress for you.
5. TRY NOT TO TAKE ANY SUBSTANCE THAT CAN AFFECT YOUR MENTAL STATE
This is one point that should not be taken with levity. You should try as much as possible to stay away from anything that can affect your mental state or even psychological reasoning overall. This is because it would not be possible to read or cram within these crash hours and still be able to recall what you have read the next morning. Substances that can affect you psychological reasoning may include: Alcohol, hard drugs and so on.

6. DO NOT TRY READING WHILE LYING DOWN
Another thing that you should try to avoid is reading or trying to memorize things while you are lying down. You already know that you are trying to memorize things in the night. This means that you may get the urge to sleep even faster.
7. EMPLOY MEANS THAT WOULD AT LEAST HELP YOU STAY AWAKE FOR A WHILE
Everybody understands him or herself. You should try and employ other or any means that wpuld at least help you stay awake for a while. This is because many people find it really difficult staying awake and they only can tell what is best for them and what will keep them awake as well. For me, if i want to stay awake reading all through the night, i get a bucket of water and soak my legs in it. This way, i would not be able to sleep at all. You can also try this method if it works for you.
8. DO NOT TRY READING WITH MUSIC
Another thing you should never try when you are crash reading or trying to memorize things a night before your exam is reading with music. I understand that different things works for different people but if you are trying to read a subject area for the first time, you should not use music as it might distract you. However, if you are re reading a subject area, music may be helpful for you.
9. TRY NOT TO READ MORE THAN ONE SUBJECT AREA AT A TIME
Remember you are trying to cram and memorize for just a while night. Do not try to read more than 1 subject area at a time. Focus on one thing at a time and get it first before switching to another subject area.
10. TOP IT UP WITH PRAYERS
You might try all these tips but it is actually incomplete without prayer. Whichever religion you belong to, there would definitely be what is called “prayer”. Take advantage of it with the rest of the other tips.
